Why a patient in the US or Europe would consider China
Not because it is 20% cheaper — that gap disappears once flights, a hotel and a companion are counted. Because some treatment cannot be obtained at home at any price, and because a diagnostic pathway that takes six months at home can take two weeks in China.
Costs at home exclude the travel you would not need to make; the China costs on this table are the hospital component only — flights, hotel and our coordination fee (quoted per case) are itemised separately in the estimator, because hiding them is how brokers get caught out.
