Medical disclaimer
Four things on these pages can be mistaken for a promise: a cost, a waiting time, an entry route and a treatment area. Each has a limit on what it means, and we would rather state the limit than have you discover it at an airport or a billing desk.
We are not a hospital and we do not diagnose
This assistant is not a doctor and does not diagnose. Suitability is decided by a licensed physician after reading your records.
Aegis 意承咨询 is a coordination service. We hold no medical licence, employ no physician to make decisions about your care, and cannot tell you whether you are operable from a website form. The licensed public hospital and its physicians own the diagnosis, the indication, the technique and the outcome. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and no page here should be read as a substitute for the physician who knows your history.
The paid online consultation has a stated limit
The specialist you speak to gives a direction and a recommended plan: what they would treat you with on what they have read, and which reports or tests the team needs before it can decide. What they cannot do on video is write a prescription, set an operation date or commit the hospital to treating you, and we will not tell you otherwise — the final plan needs you examined in person, which is what the visit to China is for. The consultation fee is payable to us before travel; it buys the reading of your records and that recommendation.
Costs and timelines are indicative until they are quoted
- The estimator on the home page and the intake assistant draw on one shared rate card. Its status on this build is sample —
site-data.js → meta.rateCardStatus— because we publish the price bands we can evidence and leave the rest blank rather than filling gaps with a number that would look good. - A real quotation comes from the hospital's own international finance office after they have read your records, in writing, item by item, and it is the document you decide on.
- Where a figure is a comparison rather than a quote — the cost of the same operation privately in your own country, or the waiting time you are facing — it is drawn from published data with the source and a confidence grade shown next to it on the comparison table. Published ranges move; your own referral may sit outside them.
- Our coordination fee is still being set, so nothing on this site states a figure for it; it is written up and quoted in writing for each case before anything is booked, and it is a separate invoice from the hospital's, never a mark-up on it. It covers assistance with the entry paperwork (you apply, the authorities decide), coordinating the hospital appointment, accompanying you to hospital with interpretation during those visits, and help with hotel check-in and day-to-day matters in China. Third-party items — the hospital's own charges, flights, hotel, meals, ground transport, and visa, notary and translation fees — are paid by you to the provider at their price. Anything a provider does issue — an invoice, a receipt, an e-ticket — is passed to you with the case file; some items, a taxi ride or a meal, come with no paperwork at all, and we will not claim otherwise.
- Excluded from any quote we give: costs you incur outside the mainland, including continuing recovery in Hong Kong if you are not fit to fly when a permitted stay ends; medical care in your home country; and the travel medical insurance premium we require you to hold.
Entry routes: we prepare documents, officials decide
- Visa-free entry under the unilateral scheme covers stated purposes — business, sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends, exchange visits and transit. Medical treatment is not one of the listed purposes, which is why we use visa-free entry only for short outpatient work and put anything longer onto a visa applied for properly. In both cases we help you assemble and check the documents; you submit the application yourself, and the consulate or the border officer decides.
- The 240-hour transit exemption is not a visa. It requires a confirmed onward leg to a third country or region inside the window, the 240 hours is a hard clock, and medical treatment is not one of the permitted purposes the authorities list for it either. A plan that outlasts the window is built on an M visa instead, with the hospital's invitation letter naming the diagnosis and the cost; we would rather delay a trip than have a patient recovering in a hotel room on an overstay.
- Policy dates, eligible passports and permitted purposes are reproduced from the official sources cited on the process page, and they change without notice. Confirm with the relevant embassy or consulate before you book anything non-refundable. A refusal is not our decision and not something any agency can guarantee around.
Continuity of care once you are home
The weakest part of medical travel is what happens eleven thousand kilometres from the surgeon, so we state the limit plainly rather than reassure. Everything we do happens inside China, and it ends when you leave: once you are back home we provide no medical care, run no errands and act as nobody's agent overseas, and we cannot offer a clinical outcome. Your own physician and local services own your care at home. Where you or your doctor need a document that only a Chinese hospital or authority can issue — the discharge summary, operative note, implant and device certificates, pathology and imaging reports, invoices, notarised or authenticated copies, or certified translations — we request it from the hospital for you and charge per document, quoted before we start. If something acute happens at home, call your local emergency service first, in your own country, without waiting for anyone.
If you are having symptoms that could be an emergency — chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden weakness or severe bleeding — stop this and call your local emergency number now.
Third-party links and research
Where we cite a hospital, a journal, a statistics office or a news report, we link to it and date it. Those sources are not under our control, and a citation is not an endorsement of everything their site says. We are not affiliated with the hospitals we arrange cases at; we are their international department's counterpart in the patient's country, not their agent or their sales office.
Status of this build
Unfinished and unverifiable as a commercial document: legal entity and registration (legal.companyRegistration), the contact number and mailbox (meta.intakeWhatsApp, meta.intakeEmail), contracted hospital prices, and the intake backend that would hold a submitted case. Until those are real, this site is a working prototype for review, and the numbers on it are not an offer.
Document version 2026-10-12. Reviewed before any patient-facing launch; visa sections re-checked against the official sources at each rate-card update.
